Cheryl teaches classical, improv, Gospel, rock, and jazz piano at her home studio in Corralitos. She truly enjoys teaching and making learning fun! All students study music theory and history and learn to read music after they learn keyboard topography. In addition to private lessons, she has group lessons three or four times during the school year, which include flashcard races, games, and a mini-recital. Parents are encouraged to attend each private lesson, and usually get a bit of private instruction as well!

Christian Youth Theater
Grades served: Ages 4-18
Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is a theater arts training program. It is the largest youth theater in the nation, with affiliates across the country. CYT is funded primarily through its tuition, ticket sales and outside contributions. It is not affiliated with a church body, and people of all faiths are welcome. CYT Santa Cruz conducts three ten-week sessions throughout the school year, teaching drama, voice, dance and a broad spectrum of specialty theatrical workshops at weekly two-hour classes. Enrolled students have the opportunity to work behind the scenes, or audition and perform on stage in a Broadway-style musical performed for the community.
