Luma Yoga
Grades served: Ages 3-13
Luma offers a variety of childrens’ yoga classes based upon the comprehensive YogaKids program. Each class offers a creative mix of yoga, music, art, literature, non-competitive games, and appreciation of nature. Classes are age-appropriate and encourage the development of the whole child. Classes include guided visualizations and deep relaxation to promote a sense of calm and well-being. By learning how to use yoga to both relax and energize themselves, students gain a sense of empowerment in their bodies.

Santa Cruz Baseball Academy
Grades served: Ages 12 through 18
Santa Cruz Baseball Academy is a youth sports training program. Training facilities are at Santa Cruz High School (outdoors) and on Dubois Street (indoor) in Santa Cruz. Emphasis is on training and individual skills. Games and tournaments are part of the program.

Santa Cruz County Aquatics offers age-specific training and practice groups for swimmers. Swimmers have regular opportunities to improve their individual times in each stroke, through regular competitions. The teen Senior Fit class offers lap workouts. Located at Simpkins Swim Center in Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz PONY Baseball

Santa Cruz PONY Baseball is a nonprofit youth baseball organization serving players age 13 to 19. (PONY stands for Protect Our Nation’s Youth.) Three divisions are PONY for age 13-14, Colt for age 15-16, Palomino age 17-19. Programs run through the spring and summer. SCPB’s region is San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley, and Santa Cruz.
Mid County PONY serves Capitola, Soquel, Aptos. Watsonville PONY serves the Pajaro Valley.

Santa Cruz Youth Track Club
Grades served: Ages 7-13. Older children may participate.
Kids meet twice weekly for expert coaching at Soquel High School’s track. The team participates in regular competitive meets, which are not mandatory. It’s a low-pressure, fun environment in an ideal location. During the fall, runners tackle the cross country trails and hills behind the high school. In spring, they focus on track.
